Berlin - Bernauer Straße

Bernauer Str.

Bernauer Str. is known for the many escape attempts to the west during the Cold War - both underground and above ground. You can find out more about this in the documentation center. Furthermore, there is a well-known flea market in Mauerpark - Fleamarket.

Fleamarket i Mauerpark

Ulla Terkelsen reports to TV 2 Denmark from Bernauer Str. November 9, 2014 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

The documentation center is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 - 17. .

You can take the train to Bernauer Str. and look at the "wall" and then go to the flea market (Sunday). Afterwards you can conveniently visit some of the many exciting cafés, restaurants or beergartens in Oderberger Strasse in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg.
